1

Select your scene from the 8 backgrounds provided

  • Work in small groups 2 to 4 students. Each student is to create their own composite image and poster.

  • You must have at least one “actor” in the final image. This can be you, or a friend, or multiple “actors”.

  • Plan your poses so that you capture the right photos in a short amount of time (10 mins per group)

2

Capture the photos in the Casey Tech School Green Screen Studio

  • Use the provided camera or tablet device

  • Choose a 'booth' to pose one person at a time and capture the photo

  • Make sure you have enough photos to create your scene

  • You only have 10 minutes

3

Transfer the photos to your PC for editing

  • Copy the photos to your desktop (create a folder for them)

  • Choose the best one for editing

4

Open Creative Cloud from the Windows Menu

  • Log into Creative Cloud using your High School email account and password (each student to use their own)

  • When you are logged in, open Photoshop

5

Compile and Edit Your Composite Image

  • Click on the image below to view each option. Right click and Save As when you want to download it.

  • When downloaded, follow a similar process as with the Alien Ship.

  • First drag and drop / open your background image you selected to use.

  • Using the selected photo(s) you captured in the studio, combine them by removing the green screen background and matching colour and lighting.

  • Use masking not erase tools

  • Use adjustment layers

6

Export the final composite

  • Save and export your final JPEG image composite to your desktop
