3. Select and mask your subject

Select the subject (your actor) to isolate them from the background. Use "Select Subject", and create a Layer Mask.

Remember that we use non-destructive editing. Masks HIDE pixels instead of erasing them so you can REVEAL the original photo pixels at any time.
