# Can I add text, like a title, to my video?

Yes, you can add text:

1. From the effects toolbox, click on "**Titles**" and drag and drop a text onto your timeline.
2. Double click on the title clip to edit the default text and its appearance in the *Inspector panel*.
3. To increase the duration of the title, select the title clip and drag it outward from either the beginning or end.
