# I have opened DaVinci Resolve. What should I do next?

1. Click on the Resolve icon <img src="https://3429615268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FRLVrf58IrzejiXKtqAJF%2Fuploads%2FiWaMYM1EpflrTrimCuZx%2FDaVinci-Resolve-Logo-2.png?alt=media&amp;token=305fe8a8-defa-4c88-b478-f8e23f49000f" alt="" data-size="line"> in the taskbar to open the DaVinci Resolve application.
2. Click on the "**New Project**" button.
3. Provide a name for your project and then click on "**Create**".
