# How do I start editing my video?

Follow these steps to begin editing:

1. Click on the "**Edit**" page <img src="https://3309620149-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FEHtlikar3O96oJeuCA9S%2Fuploads%2FP7bZj3meL3CYHuPROqRa%2FEdit.png?alt=media&amp;token=20ea2fbc-a658-479c-8ec6-27b3c625321e" alt="" data-size="line"> in DaVinci Resolve.
2. From the *Media Pool*, select the clip you want to edit and drag it on the editing timeline. You will see a Timeline thumbnail to the *Media Pool* section. If the Media Pool is missing, click on the "Media Pool" at the top of the window to show it.
3. Each video clip will have two tracks: one for video and one for audio. To add more video clip, drag and drop them onto the timeline. You can drop a new video clip on top of an existing one or join them in a line.
