# How can I zoom and crop a portion of my video?

To crop a video clip:

1. Select the video clip on the timeline that you want to zoom or crop.
2. Click on the *Inspector panel* and choose the Video tab.
3. Increase the zoom value to achieve the desired outcome. You can either enter a number higher than 1.0 or drag the value outward.
4. Using the same technique, you can decrease the zoom value to crop a clip.
5. If you need to reposition the clip, change "x" and "y" values to set a new position.
